Challenges Facing Nonprofits: H.T. Hayashi Foundation

Hawaii Business Magazine interviewed Executive Director Jan Harada on how the Foundation has continued its mission of building a healthier Hawaii during the pandemic. She discussed the emergency support given to a few nonprofits to continue serving their communities and deliver critical programs.

“The silver lining to this pandemic is that the partnerships we are strengthening now will allow us to be more strategic and impactful with our funding in the future. We’ll be better engaged and coordinated with other funders who support the same type of work we are passionate about. We’ll have a more robust understanding of how best to support our nonprofit partners in the future.”
